AMQS of the Broadway composer and lyricist's song "Hey There," from The Pajama Game, penned on a 1973 first day cover honoring George Gershwin.  Postmarked Beverly Hills, 1973.  Adler has penned the first three measures of the much-recorded show tune.  Slight discoloration at the left side; otherwise a fine FDC which unites two great Broadway composers.  16.5 x 9.2 cm.

A scarce AMQS from the important violinist and influential pedagogue, teacher of Elman, Heifetz, Milstein, Zimbalist, Parlow, Schumsky and many others. Auer has penned the first three measures of his Romance in F major for violin and piano (op. 4), which was recorded a few years later by the young Heifetz in 1911. Signed and inscribed to the British violinist and composer "Miss Eva Spalding" (1882 - 1969), and dated London, July 8, 1908. On a small calendar leaf dated May 29. Postcard portrait of the great Italian tenor with a facsimile AMQS from his role as Chopin in the opera by Giacomo Orefice, and with an autograph signature in bold ink to the right of the image. Orefice's fancified version of the composer's life premiered at the Teatro Lirico, Milan, in 1901, and Bassi recorded excerpts from the opera ca. 1903-1905.
