93. [Spanish Music] [Spanish & Latin American Music and Culture].
Fantastic Early-1900's Signed Postcard Collection with Many AMQS's

A fantastic collection of 57 signed postcards from Latin American, Spanish and Italian musicians, actors, and other cultural figures, collected ca. 1905 in Buenos Aires. The collection, on a variety of artistic and portrait postcards, some hand-colored, includes many beautifully detailed autograph musical quotations and some amusing inscriptions. On the verso, most of the postcards are addressed to the (sister?) collectors Ramona Imaz Otaño and Patricia Otaño; many of those presumably earlier addressed to Patricia have been changed to Ramona's name, suggesting some swapping or perhaps a little jealousy!
