Baker, Chet. (1929-1988)

The Most Important Jazz Album of 1964/65 - SIGNED LP

Uncommon signed album from the tragic jazz great whose intimate playing style established him as a great talent until his drug related death in 1988. LP album, titled "The Most Important Jazz Album of 1964/65," signed and inscribed by Baker to Paul McMahon on the cover and dated 1964. Colpix Records, CP 476. Some light edge wear, but overall in fine condition and a crisp signature and inscription.

From the library of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.  (14780)
