Signed vintage doubleweight photograph of the great soprano in one of her most celebrated roles, "Geraldine Farrar / 1946 / Butterfly." 10 x 17 cm and in very fine condition.



Farrar sang the American premiere of Cio-Cio-San opposite Caruso at the Metropolitan Opera in 1907, and it remained one of her signature roles until her retirement in 1922, with 139 performances in New York and on tour.

Unusual signed photograph of the celebrated French singer-songwriter, poet and playwright. An attractive image of Botrel with a woman, both in traditional Breton costume. He has boldly signed and inscribed "J'aime! Je chante! Je crois!" Very fine.

He is best known for his popular songs about his native Brittany, of which the most famous is La Paimpolaise. During World War I he became France's official "Bard of the Armies".

Scarce original CDV photograph of the great violinist. Issued by E. Desmaisons (Paris), 6.2 x 9.8 cm. Slightly trimmed along bottom margin, otherwise fine.



Vieuxtemps was one of the most imporant musicians of the 19th century. As one of the greatest of all violin virtuosos, he was compared to Paganini by both Schumann and Berlioz. As a composer, he was an important reformer of the concerto and in this regard, according to Grove, "can be compared to Liszt."

Gatti-Casazza succeeded his father as manager of the municipal theatre in Ferrara and was manager of La Scala in Milan from 1898 to 1908, before his move to New York City where he was head of the Metropolitan Opera from 1908 to 1935.

Robert Goulet (1933-2007) was an American singer and actor. He originated the role of Lancelot in the 1960 Broadway musical Camelot and made numerous appearances in Las Vegas.
