Lithograph portrait by Boilly of the great Italian composer. Signed in the stone "Jul. Boilly 1820" and identified within the print: "Institut Royal de France / Academie des beaux Arts. (Musique.) / CHERUBINI, / (Louis, Charles, Leonbi, Salvador, Marie) / Chev. de la Legion d'honneur et de St. Michel / Surintendant de la musique du Roi / Ne a Florence.......Elu en 1815." Cohen was the dedicatee of many important works by Vaughan Williams, Elgar, Ireland, Bloch, Bax and Bartok, who dedicated the last six pieces in Mikrokosmos to her.

Wrappers repaired with tape at base of spine, pencil markings throughout (not on signed Polonaise), overall good.
Autograph material from Cziffra is generally elusive and this is an especially unusual format.

Vintage 8 x 10 inch Maurice Seymour photograph of the Italian American singer, pianist, comedian and actor. His distinctive clipped gravelly speech, comic language-butchery, jazz-influenced songs, and large nose helped make him one of America's most familiar and popular personalities of the 1920s through the 1970s. His jokes about his nose included referring to it as a "Schnozzola", and the word became his nickname. Inscribed "To Betty / I'm singing to you - Inka a Dinka Doo / which means I love you / Jimmy Durante." Corners chipped/creased, else fine. From the Estate of Betty Melnikoff, née Peskin.
