Elusive signed program from the renowned Russian-born American virtuoso pianist, celebrated for his legendary speed and finger dexterity. On 2 April 1951, Barere suffered a cerebral hemorrhage during a performance of Grieg's Piano Concerto at Carnegie Hall, with Eugene Ormandy conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. Bronze Portrait Plaquette

Striking portrait in bronze by Henri Dropsy, created in 1927 to honor the composer in the 100th anniversary of his death. The composer is show bust facing left and on the verso, winged Victory holding a laurel wreath. Apparently presented as an award, the date of "10 Fevrier 1938" and the initials "T.H." are inscribed on the verso. Medal measures 50 mm in diameter, enhanced by bronze slab joined along the bottom edge mounted to a marble slab and standing 70 mm tall overall. In very fine condition. Niggl 283.

Grouping of signed and unsigned items from the stage director of the Staatsoper in Berlin, who directed the first performance of Berg's "Wozzeck" on 14 December, 1925. The grouping includes: a typed and signed note dated 12 March, 1929 on Staatsoper letterhead; an unsigned similar note dated 11 April, 1931; a grouping of opera tickets, various dates with a signed presentation from Horth; two program pages, each with a printed photograph of the conductor.
