An original tambourine from the World War I era, with a hand-drawn sketch of four musicians in Army uniforms on the drumhead. Penned at the head: "Jazz-Band [...] / 210th Engineers / Camp Miller, N. Y. / Jan. 1, 1919." The names of four soldiers are penned at the foot: "Capt. ER St. John - Banjuke / Capt. Hensley - Bones / Pvt. Annili - Guitar / Sergt. Corbin - Mandolin." A slip of paper with later writing transcribing this information is affixed to the underside of the drumhead.
