Set of The Beatles autographs on a single sheet excised from an autograph album. The sheet headed "The Beatles" (likely in Lennon's hand) and followed by the signatures of John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and Paul McCartney. The sheet 3 x 4 1/2 inches (8 x 12.5 cm); framed with two large reproduction photographs to an impressive 23 x 33 inches overall. The left edge irregular where removed from album, tipped at corners to mount, some toning and show through from writing on verso of sheet.

Large Early Signed "Cotton Club" Photograph

Vintage pearl-finish 14 x 11 photo of Ellington and his orchestra, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “With kindest regards and much success to Lud Paliss Studio, Duke Ellington, Oct. 28/31.” In good condition, with Ellington’s signature and inscription fairly light, but still legible, a noticeable partially separated central vertical crease, and some small edge tears and chips.

Mingus is regarded as one of the most innovative of all jazz musicians and was a virtuoso bassist and composer and worked as a sideman with Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampoton and Red Norvo. He was also a passionate campaigner for civil rights.
