[Jazz & Song] [Rolling Stones] Jagger, Mick. (b. 1943)

Early Original Photograph

Original photograph of the English musician, singer-songwriter, actor and producer, best known as the lead vocalist of rock band The Rolling Stones.

1964 British newspaper file photo of a young Mick Jagger holding a super-large Rezlo RV Ribbon Microphone. The shot was taken in the BBC's Manchester Studios, where the famous weekly "Top Of The Pops" show was filmed from '64 until 1967, when the program moved to the BBC Wood Lane Studios in West London. This stunning photo was taken when the Stones were in the Manchester Studios to sing "I Wanna Be Your Man," as the first artists to appear on the fledgling "Top Of The Pops" show. Stamped on the reverse by the photographer at the time in June of 1964, also with the specific London music newspaper's receiving stamp, their penciled layout sizing marks and a penciled trace of Mick's head as an instruction for their printer's camera department, indicating a cut-out was to be used in the paper.
