Bound in Celtic grey handmade paper covers with green cloth spine and circular paper title label "5". Large circular cut out to front cover revealing yellow spot and black number five. The text first appeared in Down Beat magazine on February 13, 1964 and has been edited. Illustrated with a revolving map and a double page centerpiece collage by Guy Berard. Magnificent signed 5 x 7 inch Polydor publicity photograph of the great French chanteuse. A classic early image by Harcourt of Piaf looking into the distance, signed and inscribed in French in fountain pen. In very good condition, with a few small stains at the top, dings and tack holes to corners.

Signed halftone photograph of the esteemed and influential blues musician. One of his earliest tunes, “Rollin’ Stone,” became the name of the super-successful British rock group and later a periodical ("Rolling Stone") which ranked him as one of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” in 2004. A remarkable phtoograph of Waters seated outdoors with his guitar, wearing a white tie and white shoes, apparently backstage for an event, with a film crew and trailers visible beyond the fence just behind him. Boldly signed "Muddy Waters" in black ink to a light area of the image. 8 x 10 inches, mounted to white rigid board with an approx. 1-inch margin around the edges. In fine condition, a very uncommon autograph in this format.

Autograph Note sharing his "Greatest Satisfaction"

Autograph letter, written on a 3.5" x 5.5" card, stating that his "greatest satisfaction was in hearing Bing Crosby's first rendition of my song 'My Little Bucharo,'" signed "M K. Jerome." Together with unsigned original vintage sheet music for "Bright Eyes." Fine condition.

My Little Bucharo was written in 1937 by Jack Scholl (lyrics) and M.K. Jerome (music) for the Warner Bro. film "Cherokee Strip," where it was sung by Dick Foran. Bing Crosby had a hit with it the same year.

A rare and splendid platinum photograph of the Johnson brothers and Bob Cole, inscribed to Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Marks, music publisher, on May 21, 1904. In the margins are six manuscript musical notations from songs by Johnson and Cole, signatures of J. Rosamund Johnson and Bob Cole, and also the signature of the New York photographer Cornelius Marion Battey, who took the photograph. 11 x 14 inches, affixed to a larger old mat, nearly 14 x 18 overall. Signed sepia A. Strauch of Wiesbaden bust portrait photograph the German-born conductor and composer. 8.75 x 14 cm. Signed "Otto Klemperer / 1927 Wiesbaden" in the final year of his tenure as First Kapellmeister of the Wiesbaden Opera House (1924-27). Sold together with a letter of provenance from the daughter of musicians who worked under Klemperer's baton. Laid in is the Colophon printed on a single shieet of blue paper with biographical notes on Ashbery and Rivers and details of this printing along with an additional pencilled numbering.
