Bold autograph signature on music manuscript paper from the influential American jazz pianist, composer and arranger who had a highly unique improvisational style and who made numerous contributions to the standard jazz repertoire, including "Epistrophy", "'Round Midnight", "Blue Monk", "Straight, No Chaser" and "Well, You Needn't." Considered one of the most important, and eccentric, figures in modern jazz, he spent most of his life in New York City, playing in nightclubs; in the 1940s, he was one of the first players of bebop. A rare autograph signature from the esteemed and influential blues musician. One of his earliest tunes, “Rollin’ Stone,” became the name of the super-successful British rock group and later a periodical ("Rolling Stone") which ranked him as one of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” in 2004.

Clipped from the conclusion of a letter, "So Thank Very Much Your Turly [sic] / Muddy Waters." 5.5 x 1.5 inches, affixed to a slightly larger sheet along the edges with tape.

DS from the esteemed and influential blues musician. 1 page, letterhead of the Chicago Federation of Musicians / Miscellaneous Musical Services Contract, 8.5 x 14, February 21, 1971. Agreement between Alice's Revisited and Muddy Waters, who was hired to provide his services for a "benefit concert...evening 1 hour show." Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Muddy Waters. Signed 8 x 10 inch matte Jackson of NY photograph of bandleader Paul Whiteman, signed and inscribed in bold green ink: "For the mother of the three sweetest From an old Fat Fiddler Paul Whiteman."

The Boswell Sisters, famous radio and recording stars of the 1930s, toured with Whiteman in 1933. The present photograph was inscribed to their mother and comes from the estate of the daughter of one of the Boswell Sisters.
