"The Tumbler" – Signed Photograph

Signed single sheet removed from Panorama: Boston's Official Guide Magazine (unpaginated; no date) with a photograph depicting a stage scene and the printed caption, "Charlton Heston and Rosemary Harris in The Tumbler, at the Shubert, February 4." Signed by Heston only. 6 x 9 inches (15 x 23 cm). In good condition.




The Tumbler was a play by British author and politician Benn W. Levy (1900-1973) that opened at the theater on February 4, 1960 under the direction of Sir Laurence Olivier. The production would move to Broadway a few weeks later. Rosemary Harris (b. 1927) is a British actress. 

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
