Unusual original Berko of Aspen photograph of the composer leading an orchestra at the Aspen Music Festival, signed and inscribed in blue ink to  Roland Kohloff (1935 - 2006), who spent nearly half a century as Principal Timpanist in two of  America’s most prominent orchestras: the San Francisco Symphony and the New York Philharmonic: "To Roland Kohloff / Sincerely/ I. Stravinsky / San Francisco / April 58."  Photograph stamp to verso, margins trimmed, with nicks and small losses to corners and some surface crazing, else in fine condition. 8 x 10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

Roland Kohloff (1935 - 2006) spent nearly half a century as Principal Timpanist in two of  America’s most prominent orchestras: the San Francisco Symphony and the New York Philharmonic.
Stravinsky was the first conductor to present his own works at the Aspen Music Festival (AMFS) in 1951. He conducted two concerts at the inaugural Aspen Festival in July 1950.
