A small chalice bowl designed by Edvin Oehrstroem for Orrefors Sweden. Clear glass decorated in crimson nested circle motifs. This example signed to base: 'Orrefors Sweden 1945 / Edvin Nr. 62  E. Oehrstroem'. In very fine condition. 4 x 4 inches. 

This rare Edvin bowl is one of 113 works produced from 1944-1947. Edvin glass was a technique developed by Edvin Ohrstom that later evolved into the Ariel technique. Glas in Schweden 1915-1960, Ricke and Gronert, pg. 283 discusses the Edvin forms.
