An extraordinary spherical hinged 'pocket' diptych, a whimsy which opens upon a miniscule bone carving depicting four men seated in a fenced yard under trees, three drinking beer, and one playing a fiddle. Decoration of four flat blossoms on the exterior of each half. Some staining and general wear, but overall in a fine state of preservation. 2" diam.
