A fine original portrait of the American entertainer who evolved from a modest success playing the violin on the vaudeville circuit to one of the leading entertainers of the twentieth century with a highly popular comedic career in radio, television, and film. A pencil drawing by the Hungarian-Canadian artist Janos Buda, accomplished at Benny's Feburary, 1963 performance at the Toronto O'Keefe Center for the Performing Arts. Signed in blue ink "Jack Benny" and by the artist, "Buda". In fine condition, with a small clipping affixed to verso. 8 x 7.25 inches (21 x 20 cm).
