Boulez, Pierre. (1925–2016). Signed Letter to his record producer. Interesting typed letter signed from the important French composer and conductor. 1 page, 16 April, 1968, to his recording producer, Thomas Z. Shepard. Apologizing for his delayed reply, but noting that he has listened to the edited and mixed test pressing of his recent Bartok/Stravinsky recording made with the BBC Orchestra. He goes on to thank TZS for fixing the first edit and mix as performed by another producer and that he wants TZS to do all the editing and mixing personally from hereon. He mentions awards given for Wozzeck, his first recording for CBS, also the first collaboration of Boulez and Shepard, and the plaques on Shepard's office wall. He is very happy with the Wozzeck awards, tells Shepard that there is a Churchill Crown waiting for him when he next goes to London, and then makes reference to their upcoming November recording sessions.

Some creases and wear to edges, unrelated notes on the verso, else fine. Letters from Boulez are uncommon on the market.
