Garbousova, Raya. (1909 - 1997). Signed Program Excerpt. Bold autograph signature by the Russian cellist coached by Casals and strongly influenced by Feuermann. She had a great European career before settling in the US in 1939. Barber, Rieti and Rathuas all wrote major works for her and she introduced works by Creston, Hindemith, Lopatnikoff, Martinu & Prokofieff.

A trimmed portion from a program on which she performed Bach, Boccherini and Tchaikovsky's "Rococo Variations," boldly signed in black ink and mounted to an album sheet. The album page signed also on the verso by Thomas Beecham. 7.5 x 6 inches and in fine condition.
