A remarkable early photograph of the celebrated American actor, taken by fellow actor, Roddy McDowall. An original vintage 1949 print on matte photo paper, stamped by the photographer in red ink on the verso and in very fine condition. Newman is shown from his shoulders up, just entering the frame lower right, dripping with water, evidently having just exited a swimming pool! 5 x 7 inches.
