Remarkable grouping of three early Boston recital programs from the beloved American violinist and composer of Austrian birth who was one of the most important musicians of the last century. Though these were recitals with piano, Kreisler performed not just standard solo, sonata and concert pieces, but also concertos by Bach, Bruch, Mendelssohn and Vieuxtemps. BSO concertmaster Franz Kneisel even joined him for a Bach Double!
The March 16th Chickering Hall program is four pages and in very good condition with just a bumped corner; the Symphony Hall program is one page, very toned and with light wear/tears to edges. About 6 x 9 inches (15 x 23 cm) each. The January Chickering Hall program is also four pages but a bit smaller; condition is good with vertical fold and light wear. 6 x 6.5 inches (15 x 16 cm).
