Fine musical content ADS, penned at the bottom of a letter sent to his mother Lillian by an employee of the Symphony School of America. 1 p. 4to., La Crosse, Wi., Mar. 25, 1982. The educator asks "Miss Lillian" to intervene on his behalf to obtain from the ex-President a letter describing his "favorite symphonic works." At bottom, he writes: " My first were Grieg's piano concerto and all four of Rachmanoff's (3rd my favorite). At Naval Academy, my favorite music was Liebestod from Tristan. I like classical guitar, & Recuerdos de la Alhambra is my favorite piece. Among operas, La Traviata was an early preference. Leontyne Price is my #1 operatic singer. These are just a few of my favorites. Jimmy Carter." Accompanied by the same text typed on his letterhead, but secretarially-signed. Two pieces.
