A beautiful original silver gelatin photograph, stamped by the Paris photographer "Chenz/Mephisto" on the verso and dated 1958, printed later. With Django Reinhardt, he was the principal member of the Quintette du Hot Club de France (formed in 1934) and was a pioneer of the jazz violin. Heavenly recordings. Very fine, certainly one of the loveliest images of him we've ever seen! 6.8 x 9.5 inch (17.5 x 24 cm).
