Unusual signed item from the late great singer/actress, a large mounted color magazine photograph over an original poem "Lady of Beauty (To Lena Horne)" neatly composed in red pencil by one Edna Lo Harrison in 1946. Horne has signed and inscribed the page in black ink "To Edna- Thank you for your very sweet interest - always, Lena Horne." The poem reads in full: "She has cute dimples in her cheeks, / and a twinkle in her eyes,/ Which makes those who really know her / Shout her praises to the skies. / She has a ready, beaming smile, / A sincertiy that's rare, / And the real warmth of her greeting / Has a very special flare. / Her universal beauty / Shines like a beacon of light / That seems to flow and make her / Most precious in His sight." 9 x 12 inches (23 x 30.5 cm) and in very fine condition.
