It pleases me even more that you want me to perform your new works if I haven't played the Tanzewalnaja Suite so far...\" Letters from Oistrakh are rather uncommon. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA critic and composer, Bogdanov-Berezovsky entered the Petrograd Conservatory in 1919, where he was influenced by a circle of young fellow-composers that included his friend Shostakovich. At this time he also established himself as one of the city’s leading music critics. After graduating in 1927 he was a propagandist for contemporary music, both Western and Soviet, working closely with Asaf’yev and others.
