An unusual program, 27 pp, including a listing of the works performed (Beethoven op. 95; Schubert op. 161; Haydn Op 76, Nr. 5), followed by a preface by Erich Prieger, an analysis of each work, the text of two letters from Robert Schumann, a 2-tone facsimile Schumann letter, and the full score to a Haydn Divertimento.

The legendary quartet, lead by Arnold Rose (1863-1946), who was Mahler's brother-in-law, worked closely with Brahms and others. The quartet gave first performances of works by Brahms, Reger, Pfitzner, Korngold, Schmidt, Schoenberg (first 2 Quartets) and Webern (Five Movements).
