In French, a letter of introduction for Mr. Vogels, "former student at the Conservatoire, who is now a distinguished artist, especially adored for his playing of the viola and the viola d'amore which he plays especially well." He asks if he might "have occassion to employ him in some of the concerts you direct or in your special evenings" and notes that "you will be well satisfied by his talent." Edges a little rough, margins toned, overall fine. 13.5 x 21 cm.
