Autograph from the Tony Award-winning American actor and comedian best remembered today for his role as the Cowardly Lion and the farmworker Zeke in the classic 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz," but well known during his life for his work in burlesque, vaudeville, and Broadway. The present signature was obtained - and so written at the foot of the page by the collector - after Lahr's performance in "Two on the Aisle" at the Shubert Theatre, Boston on April 2, 1952. Page measures 10.5 x 12.5 cm. Nicely matted together with a glossy 8 x 10 inch photograph of Lahr as the Cowardly Lion.
