Donizetti, Gaetano. (1797–1848) [Pasta, Giuditta. (1797–1865)]. Two First Editions from "Anna Bolena.". Milan: Gio. Ricordi. [1831]. Donzetti's great "tragedia lirica" was premiered on December 26, 1830 at the Teatro Carcano, Milan. The role of Anna Bolena was created by the soprano, Giuditta Pasta, with the role of Enrico VIII performed by the bass, Filippo Galli and the role of Giocanna Seymour by Elisa Orlandi. These two separate number piano-vocal issues are first editions in this format, with sequential plate numbers and pagination.
