It looks as though someone pressed a thumb into warm silver and walked away satisfied. This is Elsa Peretti's sculptural "thumbprint" money clip for Tiffany & Co.: an organic, softly pressed form in polished sterling silver, with the clip tucked inside. Very tight closure.

Peretti joined Tiffany in 1974 and made sterling silver fashionable again with forms drawn from nature and the body, the bean, the bone cuff and the open heart among them.
