Vintage photograph of the great comedy duo, smiling side by side in their bowlers, signed by both in ink in the lower margin, Laurel boldly at left and Hardy at right. Hardy's signature is faded and smudged but is not the rubber stamp sometimes encountered; creasing to upper third and lower corner, else very good. 7 x 5 inches; 17.8 x 12.7 cm. From the autograph collection of Hélène de Poutiloff, who was active in the French Resistance before emigrating to the US in 1953.
