A temple for the wrist. This Stambolian bracelet is built of hinged panels of darkened sterling silver, chased as brickwork and edged with scrolling waves, with bands of 18k yellow gold running along each panel and gold maidens standing as caryatids between Ionic-style columns. The clasp is set with a round brilliant cut diamond.
Caryatids are best known from the Erechtheion on the Athenian Acropolis, where six of them still hold up the porch roof. Stambolian offered this design as the "Acropolis" bracelet and its original retail price was $12,500.
