Dietrich, Marlene (1901–1992) . "At the Café de Paris" - SIGNED LP.
Original Mono LP (Columbia ML 4975) of the great German actress and singer, boldly signed and inscribed in black ink on the cover to Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications. Significant full or partial splitting and losses to the jacket spine and upper edge; record seemingly in good condition though untested, else fine.

At the Café de Paris is a live album recorded during Dietrich's 1954 residency at the famous London nightclub. The album captures performances in both English and German, with musical arrangements led by conductor George Smith and introduced by Noël Coward. The debut show at the venue generated significant media attention, and portions of the repertoire were later released on LP by Philips/Columbia, with iconic portraits of Dietrich on its cover along with excerpts from London press reviews.
