Small 8vo. 191 pp. A very nice copy of this slender biography of the composer, signed  on the half title by the subject "Olivier Messiaen  / décembre 1965 " and inscribed by the author "à Armand Brunschwig, en souvenir du remarquable concert du 5 décembre 1965 à Matz, et en toute cordiale sympathie / Pierette Mari."  Small ink notations to the rear cover, light foxing to the edges and covers very slightly worn, else fine. 

Armand Brunschwig (1882 - 1967) was an important leader in the Swiss Jewish community. During World War II, he devoted his energies and influence to aiding Jewish refugees from Nazi-occupied countries.
