LP Record sleeve, signed to the front in blue ink "To the most talented and beautiful young Lady in Hollywood / To Miss Eva Six, with all my respect / Shony Alex Braun." From the collection of Eva Six (1937 - 2000s) , a Hungarian-born actress who achieved some fame in the early 1960s as a Zsa Zsa Gabor type. Sleeve in good condition with some water damage, the record in very good condition.
Braun was born to religious Jewish parents in a small Transylvanian city. He began to learn the violin at age 5. His town was occupied by Hungary in 1940 and by Germany in 1944. In May 1944, he was deported to the Auschwitz camp in Poland. He was transferred to the Natzweiler camp system in France and then to Dachau, where he was liberated by US troops in April 1945. In 1950, he immigrated to the United States, and became a composer and a professional violinist. He composed the "Symphony of the Holocaust" and performed it with a live orchestra in 1992 in Dayton, Ohio and recorded 11 albums of continental and Gypsy music, also including many original works. He also played bit parts in the TV shows Perry Mason, WKRP in Cincinnati and the film '68.
