Rubinstein, Arthur. (1887–1982). Signed Photograph. Candid group photograph of the Polish-born pianist seated at a table, possibly in a green room, with some other men in formal attire standing by and one of them (English orchestral manager, John Charles) talking to him. Signed by Rubinstein only to lower margin of mat, with two dates (1957 and 1963, most probably years in which he appeared with one of Charles's ensembles) added in a different hand. Oblong format, 8.5 x 10.5 inches (21.3 x 26.2 cm). In fine condition.
A label attached to the lower margin identifies two of the bystanders as Wilfrid Van Wyck (1904–1983; Rubinstein's agent) and Gerald McDonald, but it does not indicate which is which.
