Signed doubleweight portrait of the American comedian, singer, actor and director. Inscribed to Paul McMahon, dated July 10, 1963.  10 x 8 inches (25.3 x 20.3 cm).  In fine condition.

His success made him a global figure in pop culture and earned him the nickname, 'The King of Comedy'.  He teamed with singer Dean Martin to form the famous Martin and Lewis comedy duo, before moving on as a 'one-man' stage act, movie star, filmmaker and singer.

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
