Signed doubleweight portrait of the iconic American dancer, actor and singer. Dated June 24, 1955 on the verso in another hand, presumably recording the date the autograph was obtained. 7 x 5 inches (17.8 x 12.7 cm). In very fine condition.
One of the greatest American performing artists ever, Astaire is best remembered for his graceful, impeccable dance routines. The one major award that eluded him was the (regular) Academy Award, despite one nomination, but he won an honorary Academy Award in 1949.
