Photograph of the smiling violinist proudly presenting the diplomas of two "Grand Prix du Disque" awards by the Académie Charles Gros—one for his recording of the Beethoven Violin Concerto with the Stockholm Festival Orchestra under Sixten Ehrling and the other for his recording of Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata with Lev Oborin.  He won these awards in 1956, which allows to date the photo.  Hand stamp of AGIP-Robert Cohen, Paris, to verso.  Square format, 5 x 5 inches (13.1 x 12.9 cm).  In fine condition.
