Outer bifolium (serving as a wrapper) detached; final blank leaf with crease and slight foxing; else in fine condition.
The six string quartets, Op. 18, Beethoven's first essays in the genre, were composed in 1798–1800 and first published by T. Mollo in Vienna in 1801. The ordinal "XI." refers to Haslinger's project of a "Beethoven edition" that was never completed.
