Issued shortly after the Breitkopf & Hartel "Oeuvres Complettes," Pleyel's series of Mozart publications largely followed the same groupings of works in the first 9 Cahiers, though the later editions vary in the content. While the first of Pleyel's issues were based on the Breitkopf editions (issued 1798-1801), beginning with Cahier X, Pleyel's issues were appearing nearly simultaneously with Breitkopf's and thus do not follow the same plans. The present volumes correspond as follows. Pleyel volume X includes the works from Breitkopf XIII (K. 478, 493) and XIV (tr. of K. 452); Pleyel volume XII includes the works from Breitkopf XII (K. 496, 498, 254), but replaces K. 617 with K. 291, a work absent from the Breitkopf edition but already published by Pleyel previously. Each of the thirteen issued volumes carries a plate letter (A-M) and all are issued in the "Italian" oblong format, each volume issued with the titlepage "Collection Complette des Oeuvres de Piano...Gravée par Richomme," followed by individual titlepages for each work within the volume, including a thematic table.
