Original hand-colored engraving of the famous Italian ballerina of the Romantic ballet era and a central figure in the history of European dance, depicted during a performance with a male dancer, likely her brother Paul Taglioni (1808-1884), with whom she performed in Stuttgart, Vienna, Munich, Warsaw and Berlin until 1829. Together with a carte de visite photograph by Pierre Petit and Trinquart in Paris, capturing the dancer in her later years. Overall in fine condition, with two small punctures to the upper right quadrant of engraving. 8.15 x 8.8 inches (20.7 x 22.4 cm.); CDV 2.5 x 4 inches (6 x 10.4 cm).
