Original invitation for an exhibition of works by the American artist, opening at Graham Gallery in New York on November 3, 1964.  Harvey has inscribed "See you at the opening? / Jim" in pen to the informational side.  From the collection of noted Pop artist Robert Indiana. Light foxing, creases,  overall in fine condition.  8.75 x 11.75 inches (22.2 x 29.8 cm.).

Harvey was a successful commercial artist, working for Pepsodent, Philip Morris, and designing the Brillo Pad box famously reproduced by Andy Warhol for the 1964 Stable Gallery exhibition that significantly raised his profile as an artist.  The present exhibition would be Harvey's last.  He died of cancer of the blood the next year.
