Trio of documents ca. 1947 from the American actress best known for her femme fatale roles in film noirs with Alan Ladd during the 1940s, including a photographic format card (as issued) California operator's license with a copy of her finger print, a Randall Motor Club membership card, and an Automobile Club of Southern California card signed "Veronica Lake DeToth" in black ink to verso. In very fine condition. 3.5 x 2.5 inches (8.9 x 6.4 cm.).
A prominent film star through much of the 1940s, Lake's career began to decline in part due to her alcoholism. Despite occasional guest appearances on television, her career never recovered, and she died at only 50 years old from hepatitis and acute kidney injury.
