Dry stamp to mat on the lower right from the Imogen Cunningham Trust, signed by Rondal Partridge in ink on a label from the Trust affixed to the mount verso.  5 15/16 x 7 13/16 in. (15.0 x 19.8 cm), matted to 14 x 18 inches (35.5 x 45.7 cm.), unframed. The photograph is accompanied by an additional label from the Imogen Cunningham Trust, which provides the title and identifies the printer as Cunningham's son, Rondal Partridge.

An early member of the f/64 group founded by Ansel Adams and Willard Van Dyke, Imogen Cunninham's early work was strongly influenced by Alvin Langdon Coburn and Alfred Stieglitz. She is widely recognized as one of the most important American photographers and her work is heavily collected.
