Some notations indicating the artist's color conceptions (\"...sky grey and blue\") within the image. Accomplished on the blank verso of a bank receipt from the office of the Banque Nationale de Crédit in Cannes, dated January 20, 1927 and addressed to \"Monsieur Bonnard.\" The receipt reads, in part and translated from the French, \"It is our pleasure to inform you that your bank account, No. 1467, has been credited today in the amount of 54,015.50 Francs.\"  The form letter is printed, save for the bank account number and amount deposited, which have been written in graphite.  The banker and bank manager have signed to the bottom.  Mild edgewear, creases, small vertical split to lower margin, overall in fine condition.  4.75 x 7.5 inches (12.3 x 19.4 cm.).\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eIt is evident that the paper was folded and likely that landscape and female figure are separate, not integrated conceptions. \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003ePossibly intended to be a standing figure, it is quite possibly Marthe (Maria Boursin; 1869–1942), whom Bonnard met in 1893 and had married in 1925.
