Original Richard de Grab photograph of the great Russian pianist together with an autograph signature written over a musical stave in the key of F#.  From the personal collection of the Czech photographer, a prominent figure of the postwar art world.  In fine condition.  Photograph measures 5.5 x 9.5 inches (14 x 24 cm.).  Autograph signature page measures an impressive 12.5 x 19.75 inches (32 x 50 cm.).

Throughout his career, postwar contemporary artist and photographer Richard de Grab produced many portraits of renowned artists and musicians whom he often befriended, including Rubinstein, Casals, Cocteau, Picasso, Miro, Prévert, Hartung, Soulage, and Poliakoff. Salvador Dali, another subject and friend to de Grab, affectionately nicknamed him "The Turtle ", with several drawings dedicated to him over the years with inscriptions reading, "Bonjor Tortue", and "Pour la Tortue".

This is certainly one of the largest autographs of Richter we have ever encountered!
