Phyllis Newman won a Tony Award for best featured actress in a musical for Green and Comden's \u003ci style=\"\"\u003eSubways Are for Sleeping\u003c\/i\u003e just\u003ci style=\"\"\u003e \u003c\/i\u003etwo years after their wedding.  They remained together until Green's death in 2002.
