Trio of promotional photographs from Columbia Pictures' 1945 adventure film A Thousand and One Nights, a comedy set in the world of the One Thousand and One Nights folktales and which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Art Direction.  Two of the three photographs depict stars Cornel Wilde and Adele Jergens in a romantic embrace, with typed press captions mounted to verso.  Photographer's stamp  of Cronenweth to verso of both.  The third photograph shows Wilde by himself, perhaps sitting up in imitation of an eager dog.  In fine condition.  8 x 10 inches each (20.3 x 25.4 cm.).

From the collection of Paul McMahon, a critic, photographer and artist who worked for more than 13 years touring with Marlene Dietrich as the icon’s stage manager, announcer, dresser, secretary and escort, and later spent 25 years as an arts and entertainment reviewer and photographer with Gay Community News, Esplanade, Tommy’s Connection, The Mirror, Bay Windows and other publications.
