Signed photograph of the celebrated Japanese opera singer as Namiko in Franchetti's 1926 opera Namiko San, a role she originated.  Miura has inscribed "Merry Christmas / Happy New Year / Tamaki Miura / as / Aldo Franchetti's / 'Namiko San' / world premiere / Chicago Civic Opera / Dec. 11–1925."  A printed caption to the lower margin identifies her as "Mme. Tamaki Miura,".  Crease to lower left corner, else in fine condition.  3.5 x 4.25 inches (8.9 x 10.8 cm.).

Miura first came to international notice as Cio-Cio-San in a 1915 London Opera House production of Puccini's Madame Butterfly.  Her career saw her perform throughout the United States and Europe before ultimately settling back in Japan.
