ALS from the Italian tenor to an unidentified man, "Camille."  Madrid, 8 July 1868;  3 pp. on bifold stationary.  Writing in French, Tamberlik expresses his delight in hearing that Camille will come to Madrid this winter, thanks him for the two pieces he received, and asks for his thanks to be extended "to Georgette" for the letter she had written.  Expected mailing folds, stain to blank back page bleeds through to front, some spotting, else in fine condition.  5 x 8 inches (12.7 x 20.3 cm.).

Tamberlik was one of the leading tenors of his day.  He created the role of Alvaro in Verdi's 1862 opera La forza del destino, and was known for playing the heroic roles of Italian and French opera.
